We celebrate our employees, partners and contractors who are working to develop, build and maintain our projects. We appreciate all their efforts to operate safely to help bring the energy transition to life. Our King Plains project is a good example of what building a renewable future looks like from the ground up!
The City of Suisun City, California, located near the San Francisco Bay Area, takes pride in its city’s resources—especially its natural surroundings. Planning for how climate change could impact the community and with a long list of aging infrastructure projects to address, the city needed a plan to solve these challenges in a sustainable way. It turned to ENGIE as a collaborative partner for the effort.
As 2021 draws to a close, we are grateful to all our colleagues, contractors and partners that have been part of developing, building and operating our renewables projects across North America and to our neighbors in the communities we have become part of – We are honored to be making the journey towards a net-zero future together.
In 2021, ENGIE’s 195MW East Fork wind project in Colby, Kansas, started delivering renewable power to Brown-Forman’s Jack Daniel’s brand—enough power to offset around 90% of Jack Daniel’s greenhouse gas emissions at their Lynchburg, Tennessee, headquarters. Check out how ENGIE and Jack Daniel’s are working together to meet the brand’s science-based climate goals!
