Our wind portfolio
ENGIE develops, owns, and operates grid-scale wind energy projects throughout North America that produce electricity for the grid.
Onshore Wind
ENGIE develops, owns, and operates grid-scale wind energy projects throughout North America that produce electricity for the grid.
Our onshore operating portfolio includes 25 projects with production capacity of 3,275 MW. This is part of our 4 GW operating portfolio and our ever-increasing development pipeline that offers opportunities for customers seeking clean power to meet their sustainability goals.
Offshore Wind
ENGIE and EDPR are in a 50/50 joint-venture partnership in fixed and floating offshore wind. They have combined their offshore wind assets and project pipeline, working together to become a global top leader in the sector.
Ocean Winds develops, finances, builds and operates offshore wind farms all over the world, and it increases its gross capacity day by day, generating clean energy for millions of homes and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Why wind energy?
Wind is a sustainable source that does not produce greenhouse gas emissions or air pollution.
Our Differentiators
Valuing local operations
Since ENGIE owns and operates our wind projects beyond construction and commissioning, we develop long-term, respected relationships with landowners, and the community.
Promoting dual land use in wind projects
We take our role as trusted stewards of the land seriously. Our wind projects are often built on farms or ranches where landowners continue farming most of the land. They provide an additional source of revenue — a “crop” of clean, renewable energy.
This concept, often referred to as agrivoltaics, involves the strategic placement of wind turbines in a manner that minimizes interference with farming activities. The space between the turbines can be effectively used for crop cultivation or livestock rearing.
Energy storage
We develop and operate grid scale and onsite solar energy storage systems, which can dispatch electricity when needed, including the ability to meet peak hour electrical needs.
