The Las Lomas wind project is situated in a rural area of south Texas, where large-scale energy projects bring much needed economic development. The Project location is adjacent to the border between Texas and Mexico and the site surrounded by large ranch holdings and active oil and gas drilling operations. The wind farm consists of 48- 4.2MW wind turbines and associated access roads, an underground electrical collection system and a 5-mile overhead 138kV transmission line.

Real Estate

  • Over 36,000 acres of land under long-term lease.
  • All land required to construct and operate the wind farm is under lease.
  • Primarily agricultural land use with low-density residences; compatible with the operation of a wind energy project.

Interconnection

  • Generator Interconnection Agreement executed in December 2018.
  • The Point of Interconnection will be the newly constructed AEP Revilla 138kV substation
