The EAIC will be co-located in the brand new, Innovation District alongside the Interdisciplinary Research Facility, which is also under construction. The EAIC will be a hub for Ohio State faculty, students, alumni, ENGIE researchers, local entrepreneurs, and industry experts to collaborate on the next generation of energy and sustainability technologies.

Onsite to commemorate the occasion were Ohio State President Kristina M. Johnson, National Science Foundation Director Sethuraman Panchanathan, ENGIE North America VP and Head of Major Partnerships Serdar Tufekci, and Representatives Joyce Beatty, Troy Balderson and Mike Carey.
