Supplier commitments
We leverage our expertise to provide competitive and creative solutions for our customers. Together with our employees, our customers, our partners, and — especially — our suppliers, we form a community of imaginative builders, striving every day to bring about more progress toward a sustainable future. Our sustainable procurement policy specifies ENGIE’s requirements and commitments in our relationships with suppliers:
- In the renewable energy transition, ENGIE is looking for competitive offers on sustainable and innovative solutions.
- ENGIE is a responsible employer concerned with the health and safety of our employees, and we require the same commitment from suppliers.
- As an active member of the U.N. Global Compact, ENGIE is committed to ethical relationships in business.
- ENGIE North America has signed the Solar Energy Industries Association’s (SEIA’s) Forced Labor Prevention Pledge
Sustainable procurement
ENGIE is working toward carbon neutrality for our customers, suppliers, and our organization. While we increase our internal efforts to reduce our carbon footprint, we are also focused on sustainable purchasing, evaluating our suppliers and making sure our alliances are on the right path toward a brighter future for this planet.
The ENGIE procurement team has partnered with a third-party service provider that evaluates suppliers based on information provided to them on corporate social responsibility (CSR) factors such as carbon emissions, health and safety, and human welfare. We ask our preferred and major suppliers to participate in the assessment program so we can be sure we are partnering with companies that share our goals for this planet.
